Galería Plaza del Gato inaugurates its space with an exhibition by Alejandro Lucadamo, an Argentine artist based in Madrid whose work spans more than four decades of artistic, philosophical, and sensory exploration.
His career has undergone constant evolution: from illustration to painting, from sculpture to engraving, from the descriptive to the symbolic, from two-dimensional to immersive.
This exhibition presents Alejandro Lucadamo's most recent work, featuring a selection of paintings, sculptures, and video art pieces from the series Otros Espacios, Suite Baco, and Paleolítico Pop, which reflect his creative work in recent years.
Otros Espacios is a series of contemplative paintings that invite us to cross over into subtle, inner dimensions. Working with pure pigments and essential forms, Lucadamo creates visual environments that seem to breathe, tranquil and radiant fields where perception changes and time slows down. These works blur the line between seeing and feeling, offering a space not for answers, but for presence. Amphorae, jugs, and decanters from Suite Baco, representing the gods and goddesses of wine, are a series of sculptures that combine traditional craftsmanship with motifs reminiscent of more primitive sculptures.
Galería Plaza del Gato inaugura su espacio con una exposición del artista Alejandro Lucadamo, artista argentino afincado en Madrid cuya obra abarca más de cuatro décadas de exploración plástica, filosófica y sensorial.
Su trayectoria ha experimentado una evolución constante: de la ilustración a la pintura, de la escultura al grabado, de lo descriptivo a lo simbólico, de lo bidimensional a lo inmersivo.
Esta exposición presenta la obra mas reciente de Alejandro Lucadamo donde se presenta un selección de cuadros, esculturas y piezas de videoarte; de las series Otros Espacios, Suite Baco y Paleolítico Pop, que reflejan su trabajo creativo de los últimos años.
Otros Espacios es una serie de cuadros contemplativos que nos invitan a cruzar a dimensiones sutiles e interiores. Trabajando con pigmentos puros y formas esenciales, Lucadamo crea entornos visuales que parecen respirar, campos tranquilos y radiantes donde la percepción cambia y el tiempo se ralentiza. Estas obras desdibujan la línea entre ver y sentir, ofreciendo un espacio no para las respuestas, sino para la presencia. Ánforas, jarras y decantadores de Suite Baco, representando los dioses y diosas del vino, son una serie de esculturas donde se une la artesanía tradicional con motivos que recuerdan a las esculturas más primitivas.
